Scrapped, President/CEO
Scrapped began coordinating Bar Citizen events in early 2014, securing approval from Michael Morlan that same year to officially use the name “Bar Citizen.” The Austin, Texas group became the first to adopt the name for its local meetups.
In 2016, Scrapped helped initiate the effort to launch the official Bar Citizen website (with hosting and development handled by the Base Network/Radio team). That same year, he also worked with Jorunn to establish the Bar Citizen Coordinators and Regional Bar Citizen Discord servers, which continue to serve as the backbone of community organization today.
In 2018, he hosted the first-ever Bar CitizenCon Week. Seven consecutive nights of Bar Citizens leading up to CitizenCon and most recently, Scrapped assisted in organizing Bar CitizenCon Week in Manchester in 2025, continuing his long-standing commitment to bringing the Star Citizen community together across the globe.
NicAtNight, VP/Chief Marketing Officer
As a founding member, Nic brings deep experience in building and scaling vibrant communities, having led user group and community initiatives for an open-source platform with over 3 million users. His work focused on empowering grassroots organizers, developing scalable user groups, and creating meaningful connections between users and product teams.
Since 2020, Nic has brought that same passion to the Bar Citizen community. A familiar face to many, he has hosted gatherings across six U.S. states and two countries, always driven by a love for event coordination and the camaraderie it fosters.
Today, he actively supports new coordinators in launching their own events, connecting them with global resources and shared best practices. You’ll find Nic in nearly every English-speaking Bar Citizen Discord server—always ready to lend a hand or raise a glass—all while helping the community remain as inclusive, welcoming, and self-sustaining as the universe it celebrates.
PenguinzPlays, Chief Technology Officer
PenguinzPlays (Justin) joined the organizing team in 2018, hosting Bar Citizen events across six U.S. states and co-hosting the TwitchCon Bar Citizens every year since.
Beyond events, Justin plays a crucial role in maintaining the IT infrastructure that powers the Bar Citizen website, event listings, and mobile applications, ensuring the community’s digital presence remains stable, secure, and scalable.
He also co-led the Bar Citizens in Los Angeles for CitizenCon 2024, collaborated in launching Bar Citizens International, and was instrumental in planning and coordinating Bar CitizenCon Week in Manchester in 2025.
ChromeNinja, Chief of Operations
ChromeNinja brings over 14 years of leadership experience, including more than a decade as a program manager in the gaming industry. Since 2020, he has organized Bar Citizen events across North Carolina and supported gatherings worldwide, focusing on the organization and operations that make each event a success.
Beyond Bar Citizen, he helps run large-scale, free-to-play VR experiences at major gaming conventions throughout the U.S. Driven by a passion for bringing people together, he continues to build events run by the community, for the community! Celebrating the shared love of Star Citizen that unites fans across the globe.
KitehStrophic, Chief Legal Governance Officer
Kitehstrophic joined Bar Citizen International in 2024, after meeting the team in a bar at CitizenCon in Manchester.
Firmly behind the scenes, Kit looks after the legal governance, risk and compliance aspects of the organisation, bringing over 13 years experience in GRC leadership for multinational organisations, and over 15 years experience in broadcasting, multimedia production, events management, and streaming–which is how she fell into Star Citizen in the first place, then fell in love with the game and the community.
As the only Brit on the BCI Board, Kit proudly represents the non-US contingent by being sleep deprived, drinking vast amounts of tea, and sneaking the proper letters back into US documents. A great advocate for community and global networking, she attends events when able, and will talk to anyone about anything (bonus points for anything related to history and military).
